Sanchari Roy

Sanchari Roy is Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the MRes/PhD Programme at the Department of Economics, University of Exeter. She is an Invited Researcher at J-PAL, Research Associate at CAGE, University of Warwick, and Researcher at the International Growth Centre.

Sanchari's research sits at the intersection of gender, development economics and psychology. She studies how laws, norms and beliefs shape the lives of women and their children, using experimental and quasi-experimental methods in India, Vietnam, Colombia, Nepal and South Africa. Sanchari has also taught at King's College London, University of Warwick and University of Sussex.
